St. Leonard's Messy Church
Messy Church is a monthly gathering where children (with parents/carers) get to take part in various craft/messy activities (based on a Christian theme/story), have a time of praise in church, followed by food.
It's full of 'fun, food, faith and fellowship'!
Our next date is Friday 30th March, 10am-12noon in the Parish Hall where we will be preparing for the good news of Easter. Please come along and invite all those you think may be interested.
Further dates are:
Good Friday 30th March (Easter, 10-12noon)
Sunday 15th April
Sunday 13th May
This takes place during our 10am service most Sundays, where they will have their own age appropriate ministry.
They process out during the Gloria and come back in time for communion. Parents are welcome to join them.
If you would prefer, children can stay in the service. There is an area at the back and they can move around, play and make as much noise as they wish! :-)
Please see below for the many wonderful ways in which St. Leonard's engages with children and families. We invite you to come and see...
Lilypad - preschool stay and play
Every Friday, 9-11.30am (during term time) taking place in the Elmdon Lounge in the Parish Hall.
NOTE - this is a temporary venue - usually it takes place at the Marston Green Infant Academy.
This is a free group open to all, that's a safe space with books, games and toys for you and your little one(s) to have fun, socialise and get get creative! There is a suggested £1 donation for refreshments.
This an exciting venture between the church and the infant school because we know there is little affordable and regular 'stay and plays' in and around Marston Green.
You can turn up at any time when Lilypad is taking place. If the school gate is closed you will need to use the buzzer to gain access.
